Six ISI Yogyakarta Alumni Receive Full Scholarships for Master's Degree at Nanjing University of the Arts

Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta once again recorded a proud achievement. Six alumni from the Craft, Product Design, Fine Arts, and Animation study programs successfully passed the selection of full scholarships from the China Scholarship Council (CSC) to continue their master's education (Art Management) at Nanjing University of the Arts, China.

The program lasts for three years and covers tuition fees, accommodation, campus facilities and pocket money. In addition, the scholarship recipients will also have the opportunity to learn Mandarin through HSK certification, which can support the continuation of higher studies.

The six alumni who qualified this year are:

  • Miranti Yasmininingrum Susanto
  • Grace Sarah Pasaribu
  • Khansa Syahla
  • Yuseva Ayu Nourmalinda
  • Corina Pepayosa Ginting
  • Dea Arnelia Kitris Wirabhayu

Since 2017, there have been 32 ISI Yogyakarta alumni who have continued their studies at Nanjing University of the Arts. The program was delayed during the pandemic, and was reopened last year with a quota of ten recipients, of which six successfully departed this year.

According to Dr. Yulriawan Dafri, Lecturer in the Craft Department and Coordinator of Advanced Study ISI Yogyakarta, this program not only enriches artistic insights but also opens up opportunities for international networks and cross-cultural experiences. "We hope that after completing their studies, the alumni can return to their homeland and make a real contribution to the development of art and the transformation of ISI into a world-class university," he said.
