ISI Yogyakarta's Craft Study Program is an art higher education institution committed to the development of craft as a cultural expression, functional form, and creative innovation that has a real impact on society. We foster students to become artists, designers, researchers, educators, and entrepreneurs who are adaptive to the dynamics of the times and are firmly rooted in local values.
Supported by an interdisciplinary approach and practice-based studios, Kriya ISI Yogyakarta students are encouraged to produce quality craft work-in textiles, wood, metal, and leather-that are functional, aesthetic, and full of cultural significance. In addition, we equip students with the ability to design products according to user needs, develop prototypes, and compile professional documentation of their work in the form of portfolios, exhibition proposals, and visual presentations.
In the academic realm, students are trained to produce creation-based or applied research that can be published in scientific journals and creative forums. Career Outlook
CRIME: Creating craft works by applying local culture as an important asset in the craft world. Creating functional and contemporary craft works.

RESEARCHER: Conduct research either independently or in groups, then publish it in accredited national and international journals. The research results can be utilized for the public interest, such as environmentally friendly natural dyes, sustainable craft products, and utilization of waste into craft products.
